The small island of Knotts Island in Currituck County is part of a two phase construction project that includes two skateparks as phase 2 added to the park already at the Maple Park @ Currituck Airport. The other being near the Ctuck bridge headed to the beach. Knotts Island will include mostly street obstacles , while the lower Currituck park will have a bowl and street elements.
